DEPENDANTS

Your family (spouse or children) may be able to join you in Australia on a student visa as part of your “family unit”. In order to do this they must be declared on your own student visa application. If you do not declare your spouse or children on your own student visa application, they might not be able to join you later.

Your dependents will have the same rights as you do on your student visa. They will have work rights the same as you do. If you study a Master or PhD, your dependent has the right to work full-time in Australia.

Your dependents are linked to your visa therefore, when/if you renew your visa, you will have to include them in your application.
