Courses offer
Certificate III in Fitness – 9 months program
This program is structured in 3 terms (10 weeks in each term) and a total duration of 9 months.
The Certificate III in Fitness is your first step into the fitness industry. This national qualification allows you to be a fitness, gym or group exercise instructor. You will learn to assess, train and supervise clients in fitness centres and gyms.
Certificate IV in Fitness
The program structure is similar to Certificate III in Fitness.
This qualification equips you to become a Personal Trainer. It provides you with the skills and knowledge to train individual clients on a one-on-one basis. Persons with this level of qualification have the ability to plan, conduct and evaluate exercise training.
In order to qualify for entry into this program, you will need to study Certificate III in Fitness first.
Diploma of Sport and Recreation Management
This course is structured in 4 terms (10 weeks each term), a duration of 12 months.
The Diploma of Sport and Recreation Management develops graduates to apply the skills and knowledge to work in the sport and recreation industry in a management or organizational capacity.
There are 2 different study streams you can choose from:
Option 1 – General Program
The program compliments existing technical qualifications such as fitness or massage by developing the skills to take a management role with an organization.
The program includes classroom modules like: Sports Marketing, Sports Sponsorship, Business Planning, Facility Management, Human Resources.
In order to qualify for admission for this study stream, there is no need for prerequisite programs. This study stream can be studied stand alone.
Option 2 – Fitness Program
This fitness program develops both managerial and administrative skills while at the same time giving students the opportunity to further their specialist fitness knowledge.
The program includes classroom and gym based modules like: Sports Marketing, Advanced Personal Training, Human Resources, Injury Prevention.
To qualify for admission into this study stream, student will need to have studied a Certificate IV in Fitness first.
All the above programs require IELTS 5.5 English proficiency, or equivalent (TOEFL iBT, Cambridge CAE, Pearson PTE).
There are 4 intakes per year: January, April, July and October. There are only 2 days classroom delivery + home study.
All the above programs have international recognition. To gain international recognition, students must register with Fitness Australia, which is affiliated with over 40 national fitness associations across the world. This enables students to work as fitness professionals around the world.
